Wildlife Assessment and Rescue
The Wildlife Center of Virginia is an internationally recognized teaching hospital for wildlife medicine and clinical research that has treated more than 100,000 wild animal patients representing more than 200 species native to Virginia. The Wildlife Center’s staff will present a program about common wildlife emergencies that people encounter, and educate participants about the steps to take to rescue an animal in need of help. This program is designed for adults and students ages 12 and older, when accompanied by an adult, who are interested in getting involved in wildlife transport or rehabilitation in the Richmond area. Please note: Do not bring any wildlife with you to Maymont. Contact: registrar@maymont.org, 804-358-7166 x 304
