RVA Environmental Film Festival Screening: “My Octopus Teacher”

What can we humans learn from a cephalopod? Find out during the 13th Annual Richmond Environmental Film Festival when Maymont hosts a free screening of “My Octopus Teacher,” the Academy Award-winning 2020 documentary that takes viewers into the fragile underwater world of one of the most intelligent creatures on the planet. The film tells the story of the year Craig Foster spent getting to know a wild octopus in the Great African Seaforest off the coast of South Africa. 

 

Doors open at 5pm, screening begins at 6:30pm. After the screening, stay for a panel discussion and Q&A.
