Enrich your student’s environmental science, history and social studies with hands-on experiences and interactive learning tools that take advantage of Maymont’s new facilities as well as the historic 100-acre landscape.

Industrial Innovations of the Gilded Age

What fueled the industries and innovations of the Gilded Age? Come explore how coal was found, processed and used in the early 1900s! Students will participate in an immersive activity to learn about work conditions and how the energy resources that we use impact more than just the environment. Meet at the Stone Barn Active Learning Classroom. A Maymont Mansion tour is included.
