On Friday, March 20, raise a glass of bubbly to toast the grand reveal of Maymont Mansion after two years of restoration and conservation work through the Maymont 2025 project.
Under the stunning new red slate roof, which restores architect Edgerton Rogers’ original bold design, be among the first to see the fruits of several restoration and conservation projects undertaken while the 33-room mansion was vacant.
Enjoy a tour of the mansion at your own pace as you get a preview of the restoration work throughout the 33-room home. Maymont curators and volunteers will be on hand to answer all your questions about the mansion and its treasures. Learn about the artworks, furniture and paint colors that received some extra TLC during the project, and find out which objects are on view for the first time in decades and why some of the bedrooms have been reinterpreted.
Advance reservations are recommended — choose an entry time window of 5:30pm or 6:30pm. Admission includes a glass of champagne or non-alcoholic bubbly drink. (must be 21 or older, with proof of age).
All event proceeds help Maymont care for its historic mansion, grounds and animals.
